Based in Izmir and Istanbul, Gökhan Kaya is an award-winning director who has participated in numerous festivals worldwide with his five films. His most recent work, Give Me a Lighter, became the first short film to secure worldwide distribution on iTunes and Apple TV.

Kaya holds a PhD in Cinema from Ege University. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Film Design and Directing and his Master's degree in Film Design from Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts. He is currently developing a diverse range of projects for the screen, including upcoming films and series.
