Samet is a married man working as a branch manager at a well-established bank. Complaining that he doesn't earn his living "easily like everyone else," Samet's routine is disrupted when his wife Canan wants to separate from him. Samet leaves the house and settles into a hotel room. A while later, his 20-year professional life comes to an end on the grounds that he fell asleep on the job.



Refuge to Hollow Words

Refuge to Hollow Words is Gökhan Kaya’s second short film. Samet, a manager at a well-established bank, settles into a hotel room after his wife asks for a separation. Released in 2015, the film discusses social classes, ethical values, and communication problems through the character of Samet.
